Sunday School

The purpose of Redeemer’s Sunday School is to partner with parents in the nurture of their child’s faith in Jesus through the active study of His Word. Children in grades Preschool through 12th grade are invited and encouraged to be part of this fun, faith-filled experience. Sunday School is divided by grade and last all year long. God does not take the summer off, and either do we! Our time together each Sunday morning is a fun opportunity to grow in God’s Word and nurture relationships with each other in Christ. Everyone is welcome!

Sunday School Registration

We ask that every child registers for Sunday School. This gives us pertinent information about each of the children we serve and also keeps us connected with their parents.

Below you will find a more detailed account of Redeemer’s Sunday School Program:

2 Year Olds

Our Sunday morning nurture in God’s Word, outside of worship, begins somewhere for all of us. At Redeemer we begin with 2 year olds. Led by current parents, this class encourages one parent to bring their 2 year old to class each Sunday and be a part of this new experience with them. We teach 2 year olds how to pray, who Jesus is, what he did for them, and other basic things in the Christian faith.

Preschool

This class is geared to 3-5 year olds. They have their own class opening, their own music, their own crafts, and their own Jesus time with lesson plans and other learning activities. Sunday School for Preschoolers takes place in Redeemer’s Day Preschool facility. This room is already naturally geared toward their age. It even has a pint sized altar, pulpit, and baptismal font.

Kindergarten – 5th Grade

From 9:45-10:00AM each Sunday Morning all K-5 children gather in Redeemer’s 2-Story Children’s Chapel in the FEC for an opening of praise and prayers! Then from 10:00-10:45AM each grade gathers together for a lesson, crafts, and other learning activities each week. Each grade is team taught by two teachers.

Middle School

Middle School youth (6th-8th grades) meet together each Sunday in FEC Room 100. This serves as the youth room for Redeemer. At Redeemer, the primary time to be in God’s Word is on Sunday mornings. We want to establish this time, set aside with God’s Word, as being a life-long habit. Throughout the week Redeemer might offer youth activities of fun and service (always with a devotional component), but Sunday mornings are set aside specifically as our time together learning more about God and His gifts for us in Jesus Christ.

High School

High School youth (9th-12th grades) meet together each Sunday in the Church’s Conference Room. Again, at Redeemer the primary time to be in God’s Word is on Sunday mornings. We want to establish this time, set aside with God’s Word, as being a life-long habit. Throughout the week Redeemer might offer youth activities of fun and service (always with a devotional component), but Sunday mornings are set aside specifically as our time together learning more about God and His gifts for us in Jesus Christ.
