COVID-19 Hold Harmless Agreement

Due to the 2019-2020 outbreak of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), Redeemer Lutheran Church is taking extra precautions with the care of every member to include health history review and enhanced sanitation/disinfecting procedures in compliance with CDC guidance. With the start of Sunday School planned for September 13, 2020, we want to recognize that being honest with any recent symptoms in the last 14 days, positive COVID testing, and/or pending or to-be-scheduled tests for COVID are in the works will be communicated with the Director of Communication (DCE Rod Lane) or the Sunday School Superintendent (Jill Walrod) Chairperson of Redeemers Board for Education (Amy Schmidt). Redeemer is committed to following the precautions given by the CDC, Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, and the Lincoln/Lancaster County Health Department, each situation will be reviewed thoroughly and then a plan will be formulated on an individual and confidential basis.

The CDC has expanded the list of symptoms for COVID-19 to include the following: Fever, Cough, Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Repeated muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, or New loss of taste or smell.

Those who experience any of the above symptoms are urged to access drive-through testing offered by Bryan Health and or CHI Health St. Elizabeth.

Please check each box as you agree to communicate as the parent of the child(ren) in Sunday School, Youth Group, Confirmation and Choir:

We will not attend activities or worship if any symptoms noted in the COVID-19 policy that have occurred in our child(ren) or while in quarantine.

We will communicate if our child(ren) or anyone they have direct contact with others being tested for COVID ~OR~ has a pending COVID test close friend or family.

We agree to bring our child(ren) in face mask. If we are to accompany them, we understand we will wear a face mask while in the FEC / Church Facilities. Masks are available at main table located on lower foyer.

I understand that I’m fully and personally responsible for my own and family’s safety and actions while at Church and Sunday School and its functions.

I will follow all precautions listed by Redeemer Lutheran Church with respect.

I understand my child(ren) might not be able to have their mask on at all times due to certain circumstances (ie, age), contracting COVID is low by following precautions being followed, but still a risk.

We are doing everything we can to be compliant with all regulations to ensure your families safety. We have put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19, but we cannot guarantee that you or family members will not become infected with COVID-19.By participating in programs, education services, worship and activities at Redeemer Lutheran Church, you agree to the following: On behalf of yourself and your children, you hereby release, covenant not to take legal action, discharge, and hold harmless Redeemer Lutheran Church and its staff and volunteers.
